Pokemon Arroh will make use of all 649 canon pokemon and some fakemon (pokemon made by fandom) besides. Not all of these pokemon will appear in the wild, in fact, it is story-relevant that some types never ever do. This is because starter pokemon, eevee and its evolutions, porygon and its evolutions and all trade pokemon never appear in the wild as they are man-made pokemon, typically through breeding. Other pokemon that are possible to be found in the wild are extremely rare do the relative experience requirement for them to evolve or because they are legendaries.
Pokedexes remain a Trainer-only item, that in Arroh can be upgraded to look like any pokeball. These upgrades also come with a changed personality/voice and provided information related to the pokeball the upgrade is based on. As with most other things, if traveling in a group, it’s better to have a variety to try to cover as much ground as possible. Available upgrades are; pokeball (comes standard), great ball, ultra ball, master ball, safari ball, level ball, lure ball, moon ball, friend ball, love ball, heavy ball, fast ball, sport ball, premier ball, repeat ball, timer ball, nest ball, net ball, dive ball, luxury ball, heal ball, quick ball, dusk ball, cherish ball, park ball and dream ball. Each of these are sold separately, some are only sold in certain places, and some are only sold to Trainers that have met certain requirements.
While pokemon trainers do have to pay for most of their equipment, they do not have to worry about hauling it all of it around. Bags in Arroh are mostly equipped with a technology similar to those operating in pokeballs. Essentially, bags of holding. Trainers are given the most advanced and durable of these with a nearly unlimited carrying capacity. Trainers should be careful to not lose their bag, however, as getting them replaced is a painful and long process. Fortunately, Trainers are also capable of transporting items to a designated home location via the pc system which DOES have unlimited storage.

Terms to Know!
Arceus- The most noteworthy pokemon as it is God and therefore attributed with creating the world and everything on it. No one claims he has or ever had a special plan for humans. He’s considered a benevolent but highly unreliable deity and thus has few churches or sites dedicated to it. In general, the people of Arroh are not religious.
Black out- Aside from the loss of power over an area of a city, this term refers to when someone is knocked out in a situation involving pokemon. A pokemon rendered unconscious (not asleep) during battle has blacked out. A person knocked out by a pokemon has blacked out. A person knocked unconscious by a landslide triggered by a pokemon has blacked out. If a person dies, they have whited out, not blacked out.
Ex-Trainer- A Trainer who has dishonorably lost their position. There is a large negative stigma against ex-Trainers which helps encourage trainers to either continue on the path or peacefully resign and become a regular civilian.
Former Trainer- A Trainer who has resigned before becoming named. This involves giving up all the benefits of being a Trainer, their pokedex and typically all but one of their pokemon. Some latitude is given based on the reason for the Trainer resigning. In some rare cases, a former Trainer can pick up their old job once more.
-Lution: A suffix that denotes all the evolutions of the base pokemon should it have more than two evolutionary stages. It is also used at the end of trade to denote a pokemon that evolves by trading, or friend to denote any pokemon that evolves through high affection.
Poke-: A prefix for nouns that denotes the item is somehow directly involved with pokemon.
Trainer- A child-to-teen that went to a professor and got a starter, a Pokedex, and now assist by catching different pokemon and completing missions. Typically capitalized as an expression of their importance.
Typist- Either a Trainer or a hobbyist battler that uses only one type of pokemon. There are no negative stereotypes associated with this, as every gym leader ever falls into this category.
White out- A pokemon related death. A pokemon killed during a pokebattle has whited out. A person killed by a rampaging onyx has whited out. A person who drowned when a gang of tentacruel flooded a city whited out.
