Here's a summary of the love stories of TV series “The Chinese Paladin III” for sharing~.
The love that transcends three lifetimes
He was a mortal man who studied Taoism all his lives. She was the descendant of a great goddess. Their paths were never meant to cross, but it did.
In his first life, they fell in love. For her, he decided to return to laity, against the disapprovals of his masters. For him, she decided to be selfish and choose to focus all her love on him instead of her duty-bound love for the world. But the Heavens disapproved of their union, and they were forced to commit suicide.
He died, but her immortality refused to have her killed and she survived. Despaired and anguished, she numbed her pain by sinking into indulgence. She decided to wait for him. A hundred years thus passed.
In his second life, he was the master of a Taoist temple. He was devoted to his path, until he met her. He fell hard in love, and decided to abandon all he had known for his entire life in order to marry her. The public who resented her for stealing and corrupting the master they loved and respected did not bless the marriage.
But she still remembers the pain of the loss. She wept for his first life in her sleep, and in his ignorance he thought she loved another. The marriage was in shambles in no time, and she fled her madly jealous husband to her homeland. She ended up an important political captive for the civil war in her homeland, and was about to be executed when he appeared to save her. He was killed in the attempt, and in his dying breath asked who the other man was.
He died before receiving an answer. She never got the chance to tell him it was he and only he all along, and that she was pregnant with their child. She survived alone yet again, and gave birth to the child who inherited her immortality, rendering her a mortal. In order to wait and love him again, she decided to sustain her immortality by putting her child in a time-freeze. She waited for another hundred years.
In his third life, he was a promising Taoist student who would surely be on his way to immortality if distractions were out of his way. As fate would have it, they met, and he fell in love. He remembered his past lives, and they shadowed him, grieving him as it did to her. He wanted to continue following his original path, but what he desired more was her happiness. She held tightly to him, but their happiness was short-lived.
She realised the folly of her selfishness and decided to finally let go, for his good. He became the master and attained the Way, holding her memories dear to his heart. Her child was released from the time-freeze, and she continued to love him… until her dying breath.
